How to Build an eSIM Store in 5 Minutes and Start Selling Travel Data Today

You can open your own eSIM store in about five minutes: choose a package, add your logo and colours, connect Stripe and publish. Here is every step, what is already done for you, and what to check before your first sale.

Short answer: with eSIM Signal's Build Your Own Store, the shop already exists the moment your package is paid: the catalogue of 210+ destinations, the plan pages, the checkout and instant eSIM delivery. You add your logo and colours, paste your Stripe keys, set your margin and press Publish. That takes about five minutes. The rest, from hosting and SSL to updates, is done for you.

Selling travel eSIMs used to mean hiring a developer, wiring up an API, building a checkout and hosting it all. A hosted store removes every one of those steps. This guide walks through the whole set-up, minute by minute, so you know exactly what to expect.

Before you start: two things you need

You need a free eSIM Signal partner account and a Stripe account in your company's name. The partner account is the same one resellers use for the partner panel and the API, so if you already sell with us, you already have it. If not, create a free partner account first; every new account is checked by a person before it opens.

Your partner account also holds your prepaid balance. Each eSIM your store sells is paid from it at your wholesale price, and the difference between that and your retail price is your margin.

Minute 1: choose a package

Open My Store in your partner panel and pick a package. They differ only in how many eSIMs a month the store can sell and whether a free domain is included; every package has every feature. You pay the first month (or the first year, at 20% less) by card, and the store is created at once. The current packages are on the Build Your Own Store page.

Minute 2: open the store manager and add your brand

Press Open store manager in My Store. You land straight in your store's settings, already signed in. On the Brand tab:

  • upload your logo (and, if you like, a separate site icon),
  • choose your colours, font and button style,
  • pick one of four looks: Classic, Bold, Minimal or Dark.

A live preview on the same page shows exactly how your store will look, before anything is published.

Minute 3: set your prices

On Prices & language you set one margin for the whole catalogue: a percentage, a minimum profit per eSIM, and how prices are rounded (ending in .99, .49 or whole euros). You can show a crossed-out "was" price, hide the smallest data sizes and choose whether to sell unlimited and regional plans. The store recalculates every plan for you. You also pick the main language: the store speaks eight.

Minute 4: connect Stripe and your email

On Payments, paste your Stripe publishable and secret keys. Test keys let you place test orders with no real eSIM and no real charge; live keys switch on real sales. From then on, every customer payment goes straight into your Stripe account. We never touch it and take no commission.

On Email, connect your own mail server so order and delivery emails come from your address. Not ready yet? Switch on our email server: your emails still go out under your store's name until yours is set up.

Minute 5: your address, then Publish

Growth and Unlimited include a free domain, such as yourbrand.com: search for a name on the Domain tab, claim it, and we register it, point it at your store and set up SSL. Prefer a domain you already own? Add one DNS record and press Check. A new domain usually answers within minutes to a few hours while DNS spreads; your private preview link works from the first minute, so nothing waits on it.

Fill in a support email on Contact, then press Publish. If anything is still missing, the store lists it next to the button, with a link to the tab that fixes it.

What you did not have to do

It is worth listing what a hosted store takes off your plate, because this is where custom builds lose months:

  • no server, no hosting bill, no SSL certificates to renew,
  • no plugins to update and no security patches,
  • no catalogue to maintain: new destinations and plans appear by themselves,
  • no checkout to build: cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay work out of the box,
  • no QR codes to generate: every eSIM arrives with a white-label QR code and one-tap install links.

After launch: running the store

Orders and customers live in the store manager. Paid orders that look risky are held for your review instead of being issued at once, and you can approve, refuse or refund them with one click. Customers get their own account with their eSIMs and can top up the same eSIM when they need more data. Keep your balance topped up, or switch on auto top-up in your partner panel, so the store can always deliver.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need any technical skills to build an eSIM store?

No. Everything is a form: brand, prices, payments, email and domain. There is no code, server or plugin to manage.

Is it really five minutes?

The store itself, yes: it exists as soon as your package is paid, and branding, pricing and Stripe take a few minutes. A brand-new domain can take a little longer to start answering while DNS spreads, but the preview link works at once.

Who gets paid when a customer buys?

You do, directly into your own Stripe account. Each eSIM is paid at wholesale from your prepaid balance, and the difference is your margin.

Can I test the store before going live?

Yes. Use Stripe test keys to place test orders: you see the whole flow, from checkout to the eSIM email, with no real eSIM and no real charge.

Can I cancel the store later?

Yes, any time, from My Store. There is no contract, and the store stays online until the end of the period you paid for.
