eSIM Wholesale Pricing Explained: Our Rates and Your Margin

What you pay as an eSIM Signal partner, why our wholesale rates stay competitive across 210+ destinations, and how resellers set retail prices that sell.

Short answer: eSIM Signal partners pay a wholesale price on every plan — a negotiated discount off our public price, applied automatically to every order — and partners with steady volume get a further discount on top. Because we compare several carrier networks for each destination and sell the best-value plan, our rates stay competitive across 210+ countries and regions. You set your own retail price and keep the margin.

How our wholesale rates work

  1. Every package has a partner price. It sits below our public shop price, and it is the only price you see in the Business Panel and the API.
  2. The discount applies automatically. There is no coupon to enter and no rebate to claim later — every order is charged at your rate.
  3. Volume earns a further discount. Partners with steady monthly volume can agree an extra percentage on top of the standard partner price.
  4. Prices follow the live catalogue. When a network lowers its price for a destination, the catalogue picks it up.

Why our rates stay low

  • Multi-network sourcing. For each destination and data size we compare plans from several carrier partners and list the one with the best value, so you are never tied to a single network's pricing.
  • No hidden layers. One account and one partner price per plan, with no platform subscription on top.
  • Low overheads for you. No stock, no shipping and no unsold inventory, so your margin is real margin.
  • Top-ups instead of new eSIMs. Adding data to the eSIM a customer already has saves them a second install and keeps them buying from you.

What drives the price of a plan

  • Destination. Data in most of Western Europe is cheaper than on remote islands or in some long-haul markets.
  • Data amount. The price per GB usually falls as the plan gets bigger.
  • Validity. A 30-day plan costs more than a 7-day plan with the same data.
  • Plan type. Fixed-data plans, regional plans and unlimited day passes are priced differently — read what "unlimited" really means.

How resellers set their retail price

There is no single right answer, but most partners use one of three approaches:

  1. Bundled. The eSIM is part of the package price — common with tour operators and premium trips.
  2. Matched. Sell at roughly our public price and keep the whole partner discount as margin.
  3. Value. Price well below the roaming add-ons of the big carriers and still keep a healthy margin — see eSIM vs roaming.

Tip: download the full price list from the Business Panel as a spreadsheet and add your margin formula in one column. That gives you a retail price for every plan in minutes.

What you pay, and when

Orders are paid from a prepaid balance that you top up by card. There is no setup fee, no monthly fee and no minimum monthly spend; card top-ups carry a small processing fee. Every order, refund and deposit is itemised in your ledger, and an eSIM your customer never installed can be refunded to your balance within the refund window.
