Questions
What can I use a virtual phone number for?
Anything that needs a phone number in that country: receiving verification codes and SMS, signing up for local apps and services, staying reachable while you live or travel abroad, or a second number for work.
Do I need a SIM card or a new phone?
No. The number lives in your eSIM Signal account. You read and send SMS there, from any phone or computer.
How do I pay for a phone number?
From your eSIM Signal credits, topped up by card. Each plan is paid upfront for 1, 3 or 12 months (depending on the country) and renews for the same length. Receiving SMS is free; sending an SMS has a small price per message.
Can I make or receive calls?
No. Our numbers are for SMS only: receiving SMS (free) and sending SMS. They do not make or receive calls.
Can I cancel my number?
Yes. Switch off renewal on the number's page and it ends on its paid-until date. There is no contract.
What if my credits run out at renewal?
We email you five days before. If your credits do not cover the renewal, a saved card tops them up; otherwise the number pauses and you can bring it back by paying the renewal within 7 days.
